BEACHSIDE BACHELORETTE GETAWAYS BEFORE YOUR DESTINATION WEDDING IN GOA

The second most exciting part about planning a wedding - after trousseau shopping of course - is your bachelorette! If your budget restricts you from an OTT island-hopping vacay in Thailand with your besties, bring the party to Goa. You will not be disappointed. Brownie points if the bachelorette is followed a few days after with a destination wedding in Goa!

Luxury Resort Stay

If you’d like to spend the last few days of singledom in the lap of luxury, look over some of Goa’s fabulous five-star resorts. You’re looking at ultra-comfy beds, interconnecting suites, lots of wardrobe space and tons of entertainment. You won’t even have to leave the resort.

Book relaxing sessions at the spa (Alila Diwa Goa & The Leela Goa are popular), try your hand at golf (The LaLit Golf & Spa Resort and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Goa offer some of the most gorgeous beachside greens in the country), spar at indoor or outdoor games, or simply soak up some sun by the pool (ITC Grand Goa boasts India’s largest swimming pool!).

You can up the ante with an almost-private jacuzzi (right outside your room at Acron Waterfront Resort Goa) and pump up the adrenaline with some one-on-one watersports lessons (Grand Hyatt Goa). Many of these resorts are excellent venues for destination weddings in Goa, so you can just stay on for the beginning of the next chapter of your life. Ask a good wedding planner in Goa to help you strike a deal.

Beach Huts

Sometimes, you’d like to get away from the regular luxury resort scene and rough it out. Not too much of course! Locate your favourite beach in Goa and find gorgeous beach huts that bring you a rustic, laidback vibe with none of the trappings of a five-star resort - a corporate getaway being held in the same hotel for example.

With beach huts, you’ll step right out onto the beach, and most have an attached restaurant where you can spend languid days. Another advantage of choosing a beach hut is the smaller number of rooms, so it’s a bit more boutique and you’re likely to bump into others of a similar age and disposition.

Wake up to sweeping views of the Arabian Sea from your hilltop perch at Sundowner in Palolem, or choose between an open-air swimming pool cocooned in the middle of a heritage home by the beach or the sea at Beach Street Eco Resort & Spa in Mandrem. There are a myriad of upscale beach resorts to choose from in the Ashwem-Morjim area and quiet getaways in south Goa.

Beachside Homestays

If you’re perfectly happy with your own privacy, get a homestay or private bed-and-breakfast. It’ll feel like home, but with easy access to the beach. With some in-depth research online, you’ll find entire apartments and villas skipping distance from the beach or a short walk away. Most are air-conditioned and some even have their own private pools. Not much more you could ask for!

With hospitality affected by the COVID-19 crisis, many hotels, resorts and boutique accommodations are offering flexible deals, with excellent discounts if you book early. There’s a good chance your bachelorette getaway in 2021 will be an absolute steal.
